THE BUSINESS

Matt Blatt was founded in 1981 and grew to a sizeable bricks and mortar business with an online store. Matt Blatt’s mission is to ban bland in Australian homes and has brought stylish designer furniture into peoples lives. Recently acquired by Kogan, Matt Blatt continues its mission under new management.

The Objectives

it works were engaged to select a new ERP and Point of Sale to replace the Pronto RMS which was failing to deliver a good customer experience in store and also unable to deliver a sector leading omni-channel experience. Warehouse operations automation was a key priority to replace manual and paper based processes.

The expertise provided by it works:

it works was selected to document Matt Blatt’s omni-channel requirements and select the systems to support them 

  • Identify and document the omni-channel customer journeys to be enabled 

  • Identify and document the business process flows to support the business operations 

  • Capture non-functional requirements 

  • Identify potential solutions to meet requirements and budget constraints 

  • Document and issue RFP to shortlisted vendors 

  • Evaluate RFP responses and score 

  • Report and recommend 

  • Assist with commercial negotiations 

The Outcome

A comprehensive blueprint of the business operations and processes to support omni-channel customer journeys, documented evaluation of system options with TCO  and a successful selection of Microsoft NAVISION ERP and LS Retail POS.  

The project delivered: 

  • Clear documentation of omni-channel customer journeys to be supported by the new systems 

  • Clear documentation of functional and non-functional requirements to be supported by the new systems 

  • 3 year TCO for each system option 

  • Selection of ERP and POS and signed software licensing agreement 

  • Selected implementation partner and signed Statement of Work for delivery 

  • High Level project plan for delivery
