The Objectives

it works were engaged to drive the implementation of a full omni-channel Click & Collect shopping experience, with a new website and order management system to be integrated with the Retail Management system and Point of Sale. The key objectives were to drive online sales growth and provide a class leading Click & Collect experience.

The expertise provided by it works:

it works was selected to lead the project with Project Management and Business Analysis services to 

  • Manage the partners responsible for the design and build of a new website, integrating the Retail Management system with a new PIM and OMS with FLOW middleware 

  • Manage the implementation of the new Click & Collect fulfilment method with changes to business processes at Head Office, warehouses and stores 

  • Ensure these new technical platforms were set up to future proof Pillow Talk, by providing a more dynamic eco system allowing them to react more quickly to the ever changing retail landscape 

The Outcome

A successful launch of the new feature rich website on a SaaS platform with a PIM and order management system that greatly simplified the administration of products and order fulfilment. 

The project delivered: 

  • A Click & Collect experience where stock availability in every store is visible 

  • Instant Click & Collect order visibility in stores enabling store staff to pick orders in a timely manner 

  • A seamless customer communication journey with timely automated notifications to advise when their order is ready for collection 

  • Customer and order data synchronised across systems in real time
