THE BUSINESS

Sheike is a proudly Australian owned and operated women’s premium fast fashion apparel retailer with over 40 stores nationally including an online store. Now over 40 years strong in the apparel market, SHEIKE continues to grow from strength to strength living by its moto that “life’s too short to wear boring clothes”.

The Objectives

In order to establish an appropriate implementation approach for the next phase of the organisations omni- channel transformation strategy, Sheike needed an expedited assessment of its future requirements compared to its current application architecture.

The business was keen to provide omni-channel capabilities (Click + Collect and Ship from Store) across it’s store network. Core functionality  for omni-channel retailing already existed within the businesses application architecture however the capability had not been configured.

In addition, Sheike were also keen to explore the implications of moving away from their existing Magento2 platform as well as the introduction of a Customer Data Platform to allow the business to capture and segment data in order to improve customer experiences. The objectives of this engagement were to:

  • Perform a detailed review and assessment, and formally document SHEIKE’s current architecture

  • Perform a detailed review and assessment, and formally document SHEIKE’s future requirements

  • Establish and document a suitable implementation approach and timeline (Strategic Plan)

  • Execution of a number of internal workshops to gather insights

  • Conduct high level OPEX and CAPEX discussions with identified solution providers to obtain indicative costs to deploy omni-channel.

The Outcome

Working alongside the Sheike senior leadership team, it works was able to deliver a concise and substantiated strategy which informed a roadmap and program of work enabling the organisation to deliver Click and Collect, and Ship from Store capabilities including:

  • Documented assessment of current and future state system architectures

  • Detailed Strategy Roadmap to enable execution of activities

  • Documented Total Cost of Ownership for future omni capability
